Monday, March 25th at the Sheraton
The official opening ceremonies will be held at the Sheraton Keauhou bay. We are proud to include dignitaries from Tahiti, Marquesas, Rangiroa, Kauai, Hawaii Island, and the State of Hawaii.
Tuesday thru Thursday, March 26th – 28th
Kona International Marketplace from 10am – 6pm: Tahitian & Hawaiian agricultural demos and arts & crafts booths.
Learn about different farming methods, preparation and uses of coconut and breadfruit in Tahiti and Hawaii Island. Eriki Marchand, a world renowned artisan will be showcasing his talent along with his student Fred. They will be working with a local wood carver at the Kona International Market. There will be local entertainment and vendors throughout the day, including Hawaii Poloce Department Keiki ID and 50th State Shows with party bouncers, etc.
Friday, March 29th
Ali’i Kaleiopapa One Man Canoe Race from Honuanua Bay to Keauhou Bay.
We have two divisions, one with the traditional canoe (without rudder) and non-traditional canoe. This race will start off at Honaunau Bay and it will end at Keauhou Bay. See our race page for full details and registration form. Local and Tahitian arts & crafts vendors and entertainment will be at Sheraton’s Bayview Lawn for the duration of the race.
Saturday, March 30th
TeMana Rose 2nd Annual Tahitian Dance Competition at the Sheraton Keauhou, starting at 9am
Advanced Tickets $7 / $10 at the door (Tickets are available online until Friday)
This competition will be showcasing dancers ages 3 and up. The competition will provide opportunities for children and young adults to pay tribute to the cultural significance and importance of Polynesia dance. There will be a Silent Auction with great prizes to bid on.
Food/Craft vendors & Art Demonstrations from 8:30am till pau.
